20 new faculty members join California State University, Stanislaus for 2008-09

“California State University, Stanislaus is fortunate to welcome an outstanding group of new faculty from all over the country who are among the best in their academic fields and noted for their expertise and experience," President Hamid Shirvani said.

The new full-time, tenure-track faculty by college and department include:

College of the Arts

Alyssa Leach, Theatre, MFA from Florida State University. Previously with Bristol Renaissance Faire.

Andrew McMahan, Music, ABD from the University of Minnesota. Previously Director of the Campus Orchestra at the University of Minnesota.

Andrew Nevala, Music, ABD, from the University of Colorado. Previously a Teacher’s Assistant of Jazz Studies at the University of Colorado.

College of Business Administration

Jarret Kotrozo, Management, Operations & Marketing. Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. Previously Graduate Teaching Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

College of Education

Donna Andrews, Teacher Education, Ph.D. from Ohio State University. Previously a high school teacher in Ohio.

Antonio Borba, Advanced Studies in Education. Ed.D. from University of the Pacific. Previously Superintendent of the Salida Union School District.

Taylor Marcell, Physical Education & Health. Ph. D from the University of Southern California. Previously a Clinical Physiologist, Roosevelt Central Hospital in New York.

Brandon Price, Liberal Studies, MPA from CSU Stanislaus. Previously a part-time lecturer at CSU Stanislaus in Student Affairs.

Jim Riggs, Advanced Studies in Education, Ed.D. from the University of Southern California. Previously President of Columbia College.

Anne Weisenberg, Teacher Education, Ed.D. from St Mary’s College in Moraga. Previously a teacher at Lodi Unified School District.

Ailene Pingenot, Nursing, Ph.D. from Kansas State University. Previously a Research Fellow at Stirling University, Scotland.
