Danny Kioko, an international Kenyan artist, musician and music producer, leads an interactive presentation exploring Kenyan music, dance, culture, and arts education. Drawing on his experiences in Kenya and internationally, he will discuss the role of music in community life, education, creative expression, production, and the music industry. The program engages Mr. Kioko in a conversation-interview with Dr. Sarah Chan, Associate Professor of Music at Stan State, and includes musical demonstrations and audience participation, along with an opportunity to learn a Kenyan song/dance.
