A lecture and moderated Q&A with Rafael Fernández de Castro, Ph.D.
Join Stanislaus State for a timely discussion of United States-Mexico relations as part of the Presidential Distinguished Speaker Series.
Rafael Fernández de Castro will examine how the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement review, climate change, the shift from offshoring toward nearshoring, the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, concerns related to security and drug trafficking, changes in the value of the U.S. dollar and shifts in the global political order are shaping the relationship between the United States and Mexico.
Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the political, economic, environmental and security issues influencing the future of United States-Mexico relations.
Following the lecture, Virginia Montero Hernández, Ph.D., will moderate a Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to engage with Fernández de Castro and explore the challenges and opportunities facing both countries.
