Who is Invited
The Finishing/GK Camp is run by the coaching staff of the Stan State Women's Soccer team, overseen by Assistant Coach Lauren Wolcott and Goalkeeper Coach Nicole Lonergan. Each session is focused on teaching fundamentals of shooting and goalkeeping. For attacking players, sessions will focus on shooting technique, crossing and finishing, volleys, and 1v1 attacking. Goalkeepers will learn the technical skills needed, such as proper footwork and distribution, to be successful and tactically aware from GK-specific training, as well as playing in the goal in game-like situations. Each camp lesson finishes with situations combining the strikers and goalkeepers in game-realistic situations.
