The Department of Biological Sciences at Stanislaus State is housed in Naraghi Hall, a LEED Silver certified green building that was constructed in 2007. The three-story building contains classrooms, labs, and faculty and grad student offices, as well as an astronomical observatory and an animal care facility.
The Biological Sciences M.S. degree is designed to be 2 year program, depending upon the student's outside commitments and motivation. Most grad courses are offered at two-year intervals.

- Completion of at least 30 units of required or approved coursework.
- A G.P.A.
