Our Services

  • Ensure students are compliant with Program, University, CSU, and CTC policies and standards.
  • Act as liaison with CTC.
  • Evaluate applications for credential program admission.
  • Maintain credential student records.
  • Conduct exit seminars for students completing the program.
  • Evaluate, verify and submit recommendations to CTC for teaching and service credentials.

We encourage and support students from underrepresented categories to apply to our program.

Telecommuting on Mondays & Fridays

We are excited to announce that from Fall 2026 we will be offering the Master's in Teaching program. Students in this program will receive their Master's in Teaching and a teaching credential  in a subject of their choice. For program information, please visit the MAT program website

  • This gives credential candidates who have completed all program requirements, including passage of a teaching performance assessment, and preliminary credential holders with RICA renewal codes additional opportunities to take and pass the reading instruction competence assessment. 
  • It also extends the sunset date from June 30, 2025 to June 30, 2026 for credential candidates who, pursuant to Executive Order N-66-20, were recommended for a preliminary credential with a teaching performance assessment renewal code to clear their credential by completing a Commission-approved induction program or two years of satisfactory service on the preliminary credential.
