I teach many Botany courses.

I am interested in plant-herbivore interactions. Because that is a broad area, I focus on two main areas. The first area is understanding the physiological responses of plants to herbivory. The responses include changes in carbon assimilation (Photosynthesis) and allocation of resources to roots, shoots, leaves and reproductive parts. Second, I am interested in how plant genetic variation influences those responses.
