The Office of Communications and Public Affairs has announced the appointment of Kristina Stamper as the director for communications and creative services at Stanislaus State, effective October 1. Ms. Stamper had served as the interim director since August 2016.

As director of communications and creative services, Ms. Stamper is responsible for providing communications and message strategy, including public relations, print and digital publications, web presence and social media. She also works with colleges and departments on content, public relations materials and creative design activities.

“Kristina has established herself as a superb communicator and brings to this position a wealth of experience in marketing and communications,” said Rosalee Rush, Ph.D., senior associate vice president for marketing, communications and media relations. “Her exceptional organizational skills are critical to sustaining continuity of projects and practices.”

Ms. Stamper joined the Office of Communications and Public Affairs in 2014 as a communications and public affairs specialist, overseeing the University’s social media presence and writing internal and external communications content.

She is a Stan State alumna, earning a bachelor’s degree in music. Prior to joining the CPA team, she spent seven years as a graphic specialist for the School of the Arts where she coordinated marketing and communications for performances in the Departments of Art, Music and Theatre and administrative support for the Office of the Dean.

“I am honored to continue collaborating with the outstanding students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni at Stanislaus State,” she said. “I am passionate about the role of higher education in our region and it is a privilege to be a part of sharing the stories of our Stan State community.”
