A fourth section of the highly popular and successful California State University, Stanislaus Executive Master of Business Administration degree program will start up at Tenth Street Place in Modesto on Saturday, April 25.
The graduate degree program’s fourth cohort, which includes a pair of physicians and people from as far as the Bay Area, will meet for its first class and receive a special welcome during a reception later in the afternoon.
Featuring a focus on producing well-trained management professionals who are highly sought after by regional industries and organizations, the program’s phenomenal growth since its startup a year ago continues to be an indication of its popularity. Graduates from the first cohort have included one who received a fellowship to Stanford, a few who have moved on to doctorate graduate work, and a number who have received job promotions despite the challenges of the present economy.
The first cohort made its debut in Tracy in August 2007 and completed the 15-month, 36-unit program in November. A second group of students that started classes in April 2008 in Stockton will finish up in June 2009 and a Turlock cohort that began sessions in August 2008 is set to finish up in November 2009. Plans call for another cohort to start in Tracy in September 2009.
