Join Master Gardener and Stan State alumnus Hector Vera for a walking tour of the Sustainable Garden. As the Gardening Specialist, Hector guides agriculture students through hands-on learning experiences in sustainable gardening and agriculture. During the tour, explore lab-themed garden beds, a fruit tree lab, and traditional garden beds featuring a variety of fruits, vegetables, and more. Learn about regenerative agriculture practices and discover how the Sustainable Garden supports student learning and serves the campus community.
ALLERGEN WARNING: Garden walkways and surrounding areas contain walnut shells. The garden also attracts pollinators, including bees.
Note: This is a working living lab space for student projects, please do not touch anything during the tour. This tour is conducted outdoors, please take appropriate measures for sun exposure and potential heat. Wearing closed-toe shoes, hat, sunscreen, and water is highly recommended.
