- Be a Credential student pursuing a career in teaching
- Teaching Credential offered at Stan State
- Be accepted into an Undergraduate or Credential Program
- Cal State Apply presentation guide for the Stan State Credential Program Applicants
- Be enrolled at least half-time (6 units or more)
- Meet eligibility requirements for various Grants, Scholarships, Work-Study and Loans
- Submit FAFSA by March 2nd (may apply after March 2nd for Pell Grant and Student Loans)
- Submit the Stan State Online Scholarship Application by March 2nd
- Apply for off-campus (private) scholarships
- Complete TEACH Grant counseling and agreement to serve

- The Federal Student Aid TEACH Grant will support future teachers for up to $4,000 per year in exchange for teaching service in a high-need field. Minimum 3.25 GPA required.)

- Awards students up to $10,000 who are already enrolled in a professional preparation program & are working towards their preliminary credential in exchange for teaching service in a high-need field.

Submit Free Online Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
This free on-line application contains questions about you, your financial information, school plans and more. The site provides answers to frequently asked financial aid questions, tips for filling out the application and checking the status of your application.

Golden State Teacher Grant
- About Golden State Teacher Grant
- Be currently enrolled in a professional preparation program approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP).
- Be working toward a special education preliminary teaching credential, pupil personnel services credential, or a preliminary teaching credential in a designated high-need field (subject to change annually).
- Submit a Golden State Teacher Grant Program Application.
- Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act Applicatiion (CADAA).
- Complete their program and obtain their credential within 6 years from the date their initial GSTG payment is mailed to their institution.
- Commit to work at an eligible priority school or a CA State Preschool Program (CSPP) by signing a Service Agreement.
- Submit Stan State Online Scholarship Application by March 2nd
- Apply for off-campus (private) scholarships
- Request Cal Grant Teacher Credentialing Benefits
