The Stockton Council (STKC)

The Stockton Council is composed of a Chair and Chair-elect, a faculty representative from each program offered at the Stockton Campus, a Stockton campus non-MPP staff person, and a student representative with a one-year term, appointed by Associated Students. The Dean of the Stockton Campus shall serve as executive secretary to the Council and shall be a voting member. Non-voting ex officio members shall include the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Academic College Deans, the Dean of Library Services, and the Dean of University Extended Education and International Education. 

Responsibilities

• Provide a forum for departments, degree programs, certificate programs, credential programs, minors, and concentrations with classes taught in Stockton to collaborate and share information specific to the Stockton Campus. 
• Advocate for faculty and students on the Stockton Campus through communication with administrators, the SEC, and the AS. 
• Formulate, review, and recommend to the Academic Senate, UEPC, and Grad Council policies that impact the Stockton campus, including its academic programs, faculty, and students
• Maintain close liaison with the Faculty Budget Advisory Committee, and articulate budgetary, resource, and space concerns related to the Stockton Campus). Officially represent the successes and challenges of Stockton faculty when informal or formal input is needed.
