Warrior Welcome is AOS's biggest yielding event. We invite all Fall '23 admitted students to showcase our campus and show them why they belong at Stan State. We have a resource fair which includes clubs, organizations and colleges. Including breakout rooms throughout the student center.

This activity will be a tournament style for students to have the opportunity to play board games, have fun, learn games from different cultures. As well as meet new people and learn about the clubs participating in this activity.

When he was hired as the first executive director of the new Innovation and Workforce Development Hub, based at the Stanislaus State Stockton Campus, Aubrey Priest got the usual introductions to the Stockton staff and those in the Department of Extended and International Education, under which the hub falls. 

Joe Duran was 5 years old and didn’t speak a word of English when he arrived in the Central Valley. 

“I walked into a classroom where I was the only Spanish speaker,” he recalled. “There was nobody else.” 

That early experience set the tone for the direction he would take in life. He learned important lessons, including how to overcome his fears and “be able to look at things and not let an environment dictate who you think you should be or what you can or cannot achieve.”
