Common laboratory screenings are performed at the Student Health Center on-site laboratory. Our laboratory is licensed by the state and operated by a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Students seeking laboratory services need to schedule an appointment with a clinician who will facilitate the testing.

Testing provided to students at no charge includes, but is not limited to the following. The cost of these lab tests is covered by your student health fee.

  • Urinalysis
  • Complete blood counts
  • Urine pregnancy tests
  • Blood glucose levels
  • Rapid strep screens
  • Mononucleosis testing

Specialized blood tests are sent to a contracted reference laboratory and offered at a greatly reduced rate. Some of the most common tests and their fees are listed below. Prices are subject to change without notice. Check with your provider regarding the availability of additional tests and associated fees. Outside lab requests must be reviewed by a Student Health Center provider.

Off-Site Radiology Services

The Student Health Center provides basic x-ray services as a part of the Student Health Fee. More complex radiologic evaluations, mammograms, ultrasounds, etc. are available at contracted reduced costs. These are available by referral from a Student Health Center provider to a nearby full-service radiology department in Turlock or Modesto.
