Bachelor’s Degree

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • A minimum grade point average of 2.8 is required as your overall GPA or for your last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted.

Foundation Courses

All applicants must satisfy the six Foundation Courses (or their approved equivalents) as prerequisites to enrolling in MBA Core Courses.  After transcript review, credit will be given to Foundation Course equivalents from regionally accredited institutions where a minimum grade of C- or CR was earned and were completed within ten years prior to admission to the MBA program. If any Foundation Courses have not been completed, an applicant may receive “conditional admission” to the program and one semester to complete those remaining Foundation Courses.

Note: If each of the Foundation Courses as listed above is NOT on your transcripts, a transcript review and department approval are required. Simply email copies of your transcripts to Gina Donahue at gdonahue@csustan.edu and she will confirm whether your transcript/s includes an equivalent for each Foundation Course from an accredited college or university that can satisfy these eligibility prerequisites.

Work Experience

Candidates for the OMBA Program need to demonstrate a two-year record of relevant, full-time employment in a professional or supervisory role.  Applicants wishing to enter the program without the required two-year experience may request a waiver of the work experience requirement based on exceptional academic performance.

Out-of-State Enrollment

At this time, Stanislaus State is not authorized to offer online instruction or degree programs to students residing outside of the state of California. For additional information, visit the Out-of-State Authorizations for the OMBA Applicants.

International Student Enrollment

The Online MBA program is authorized to admit international students into the program whether you reside outside of the United States or hold an international degree. For students with coursework from countries other than the United States, you will need to have academic credentials evaluated by an approved organization.
