HIST 2900 – Historical Research Methods
Students will learn to access and evaluate different types of historical sources and to think critically about historical research methods. Enrollment is restricted to History, Liberal Studies, and Social Science majors and to students completing the Public History Certificate.

HIST 3731 - African American History since 1865
Examines key developments in African American social, cultural, and political history from the Reconstruction period through the twenty-first century.

HIST 4585 – Climate History and Climate Change
The role of climate in world history, including contemporary climate change. Topics include natural climatic variation, causes and consequences of the contemporary climate crisis, and analysis of possible climate solutions. Open to Juniors and Seniors only.

HIST 4940 - History Internship
Supervised practicum in work situations involving the application of historical methods in various locations including (but not limited to) museums, libraries, archives, government agencies, historic sites, and other history-related institutions.
