Accessibility Day
Please join Access for All and the Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Accessibility Day on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The event will be held in person at the Faculty Development Center, with Zoom access available for participants who cannot attend in person. Participants may attend part or all of the event, and all registered participants will have access to the session recordings. Afternoon snacks and drinks will be provided!
Accessibility Day is designed especially for instructional faculty, with information and support also relevant to staff, students, and department or college leadership. Note: We understand August 13th is outside of contracted hours for most instructional faculty - as such, we will be able to provide all recorded content after the event.

10:00 - 10:30 a.m. | Accessibility 101: Why, What, Who, and How
An introduction designed for participants who are new to accessibility.
10:30 - 11:15 a.m. | Accessibility Workout ©
Practice three core accessibility skills. Participants may actively follow along or watch the demonstrations.
11:15 - 11:30 a.m. | Break
11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. | Captions for Dummies
Learn the basics of creating and managing captions in Zoom, YouTube, and Panopto.
12:15 - 1:15 p.m. | AI for Accessibility
Learn how to use artificial intelligence tools to transform documents and instructional materials into more accessible content.
1:15 - 2:00 p.m. | Hands-on Accessibility Support
Receive individualized assistance with courses and instructional materials, including:

Syllabus and Microsoft Word remediation

Submitting PDFs for accessibility remediation
