Dr. Anysia Mayer will join us as Associate Professor, Full-Time Faculty and P12 Specialist in the Doctoral Program starting Fall 2014.
Dr. Mayer received her PhD from the University of California, Davis in 2006. For the past five years she has been a Assistant Professor in the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut, where she also served as the EdD Graduate Program Coordinator. In addition, Dr. Mayer has been a P.I. or Co-P.I. for NSF, NEA, and foundation funded research (approximately 1.5 million dollars) and Associate Editor for Educational Administration Quarterly, the premier journal in educational leadership. She has 20 publications, numerous national presentations, chaired several dissertation committees and taught 6 different graduate level leadership and research methods courses.
Dr. Mayer has served as Interim Dean of Stanislaus State Stockton Campus and is the founding director of the Stanislaus State Community Equity Research Center. Her research interests include educational policy, leadership, and equity, with numerous publications and significant grant-funded projects. Dr. Mayer is a recognized leader in educational leadership and reform.
