Welcome to Kinesiology

Kinesiology/Physical Education & Health Courses provide a background in physical education for those planning to enter the teaching field, an educational foundation for those planning to undertake graduate work, or a program for preprofessional work in health and wellness fields such as pre-physical therapy.

Kinesiology majors are strongly encouraged to maintain motor skills and physical fitness by enrolling in one activity skills class and one activity fitness class per semester.

Advising is mandatory for all majors in this degree program. Please contact the department office either by telephone or email for information on academic advising.

Students interested in obtaining a teaching credential are strongly advised to confer with the Department of Teacher Education program adviser at the beginning of the junior year. An application for admission into the teacher education program is available from the Department of Teacher Education.

For requirement information regarding the Kinesiology/Physical Education & Health programs please visit the University Catalog.
