A program titled "Writing Workshop for Women" that focuses on the healing process for victims of rape and abuse will be held in the Faculty Development Center at California State University, Stanislaus on Saturday, January 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. University Teacher Education Professors and authors Brenda Betts and Pamela Russ of the "Healing Ourselves Project" will coordinate the program.

The workshop is designed to inform women about how to cope with the devastating impact of rape and abuse. Writing activities will be used for discussion and to support healing. The workshop will be facilitated in a way that will honor the privacy of participants.

The "Healing Ourselves Project" organized by Betts and Russ provides workshops to assist women who have been victims of rape in their recovery process.
