The Turlock Chamber of Commerce will partner with California State University, Stanislaus to host the inaugural Central Valley Business Leadership Summit on Friday, April 25 at CSU Stanislaus.
Scheduled for an 8 a.m. start in Warrior Arena, the regional program will feature a business exposition as well as eight guest speakers who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the business field. Each of the Summit's four sessions will cover important topics that focus on business growth and leadership in the Central Valley -- the Central Valley's Economic Outlook, the Business Benefits of Tech-Knowledge, the Impacts of Education and Generational Attitude on the Workforce, and the State Budget and Legislative Outlook.
Robert W. Wendover, Managing Director of the Center for Generational Studies, will be the keynote speaker at the concluding dinner program in the CSU Stanislaus Event Center. CSU Stanislaus President Hamid Shirvani and Turlock Chamber President and CEO Sharon Silva will also speak.
The other featured speakers for the daytime panel sessions, which begin at 9 a.m. in Room 130 of the Mary Stuart Rogers Educational Services Building, include Mark D. Hall, President/Chief Executive Officer of Walnut Creek-based Hall Equities Group which includes Turlock's Monte Vista Crossings center in its holdings; Lon S. Hatamiya, an economist and director with Navigant Consulting, Inc. in Sacramento; Suzanne Mortensen, Business Development Area Manager of Voice and Data for AT&T Mobility; Jeffrey Medeiros, Business Account Manager for the Central Valley for AT&T Mobility; Michael J. Loschke, Principal and Founder of IMC Consulting & Training; Paul Warren, Senior Policy and Fiscal Analyst on K-12 education with the Economics and Taxation section of the Legislative Analyst's Office; and John Kabateck, Executive Director of the National Federation of Independent Business.
The Business to Business Exposition featuring displays and booths by participating regional businesses, agencies, and organizations will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the University's Warrior Arena.
