The BFA Solo Gallery at Stan State Art Space is thrilled to announce the BFA Solo Exhibition The Divine Feminine as Self-Expression by Bachelor of Fine Arts candidate Andrea Amador from December 3 - 5. An opening reception will take place December 4th from 4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. with an artist talk at 4:30 p.m. (Stan State Art Space, 226 N. First St., Turlock, CA 95380)
My collection of work explores how various forms of femininity serve as a means for self-expression and empowerment. My work investigates and commemorates sensuality, dance, and music as different manifestations of the feminine. My work serves as a tribute to the feminine, providing a space for it to thrive freely and without constraints. Furthermore, my work emphasizes how the divine feminine brings women together, allowing them the freedom to express themselves without boundaries. I incorporate painting and drawing into my body of work; specifically, I employ gestural mark making to convey the fluidity and vitality of femininity and its various expressions.
