How do we honor the knowledge, stories and relationships that shape who we are? The 10th Annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day Panel Discussion, “Remember Who We Are, Together,” brings together Indigenous scholars, artists and advocates for a conversation about identity, cultural knowledge, belonging, resilience and community. Open to the campus community and the public, the panel invites attendees to listen, learn and reflect on the connections that shape our communities and our shared future.

Panelists will include David Āyõpëwë Good, a member of the Yanomami people; Lisa Wahpehpah, also known as She Who Walk with Bears, a member of the Miwuk people; and Cutcha Risling Baldy, a member of the Hupa, Karuk and Yurok communities.

Good will highlight his research on the human microbiome and discuss connections among science, Indigenous knowledge and human health. Together, the panelists will explore Indigenous worldviews, cultural preservation, community relationships and the importance of maintaining connections to family, heritage and place.

No RSVP is required.
