Nicole Larson, Associated Students Inc. president and member of the Stanislaus State women’s soccer team, has been named to Turlock’s Parks, Arts and Recreation Commission.
She joins fellow new appointee and Stanislaus State graduate Michael Foster on the commission, which among its duties has assumed oversight of the city’s community events and activities grant. Also, the commission is developing a new committee to oversee community arts projects.
Larson, a junior criminal justice major from Turlock High, started 19 games as a defender for the Warriors in the fall and was one of 11 Stan State women’s soccer players to earn California Collegiate Athletic Association all-academic honors.
