California State University, Stanislaus was reaccredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for nine years in July, 2010.
Since the last CSU Stanislaus review in 1998, WASC implemented a new accreditation review process. This new process aligns accreditation efforts with the university's internal planning and review mechanisms and shifts from a compliance review to a validation of effective ongoing internal systems of review and improvement within the university.
The review process involves three distinct phases, with two major reports, each of which is accompanied by a site visit. These stages are The Institutional Proposal, the Capacity and Preparatory Review and Site Visit, and the Educational Effectiveness Review and Site Visit.
Our next Capacity and Preparatory Review is scheduled for 2019 and our Educational Effectiveness Review for 2020.
