If you come to campus via Highway 99 we encourage you to use either the Fulkerth or Taylor road exits to access campus Aug. 22-24 to avoid the detour and delays due to the complete closure of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks at Monte Vista Avenue.

Union Pacific will be replacing tracks and concrete panels within the crossing, and the City of Turlock also will be doing some paving in conjunction with the project. The closure coincides with two high-traffic days at Stanislaus State, the Aug. 22 Freshman Convocation and the first day of classes on Aug. 24, so drivers should allow extra time to get to campus on those days.

The Monte Vista exit off Hwy. 99 will be open, but drivers attempting to cross Golden State Boulevard will be led through a detour.
