Celebrating the Warrior familia and the possibilities we create together

One of the greatest joys of this year has been seeing the extraordinary ways our Warrior familia continues to shape the future of the Central Valley.

I see it in the students whose dreams are taking shape through research, internships, study abroad and service. I see it in the faculty and staff whose dedication and care help our students feel seen, supported and inspired. And I see it in the alumni, donors and community partners whose generosity and belief in our mission make so much of this possible.

This spring, we celebrated milestones that reflect both who we are and where we are headed. We are honored to once again receive the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement and to be recognized as an Opportunity University — affirming that Stan State is transforming lives and helping our region thrive.

At our Stockton Campus, Willow Hall now stands as a powerful symbol of that promise, expanding access and creating new pathways in healthcare and human services for the students and communities who need them most.

As we move forward with our new Strategic Plan, I am reminded that the pulse of possibility is strongest when we lead with cariño — when we show up for one another with compassion, purpose and hope.

This same spirit was on full display during this year’s 1960 Minutes of Giving. Named for the year our University first opened its doors, the campaign was a beautiful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with purpose and corazón. Through more than 700 gifts, our Warrior familia contributed more than $270,000 in support of scholarships, academic programs, student organizations, athletics and basic needs. This extraordinary generosity reflects the deep commitment so many have to ensuring our students are seen, supported and empowered to achieve their version of the American Dream. I am profoundly grateful for the way our Warrior community continues to show up for one another because, when Stan State thrives, the Central Valley thrives.

Mil gracias for being part of this journey.

¡Adelante, Guerreros!
