Year-Round Enforcement

Parking permits are enforced in all lots from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, including non-instruction days (e.g. spring break).

Student semester and daily permits are valid in employee parking areas after 4 p.m. and in areas marked with bright, yellow reserved signs after 5 p.m.

Permits do not exempt vehicles from paying parking meter fees unless displayed with a valid DMV-issued disabled placard or plate.

The following areas are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

  • Red Curbs/Fire Lanes
  • 30-Minute time zones
  • Service/Maintenance Stalls
  • White and Yellow Curbs
  • Disabled permit parking stalls
  • Hourly/meter parking

Service Vehicle Spaces

In an emergency, these spaces must be available to ambulance, fire, police, maintenance and other service vehicles. If you have extenuating circumstances and need to utilize this space for a short period of time, please call UPD at (209) 667-3114 for prior authorization. Vehicles without prior authorization may receive a parking ticket.

Parking Tickets

If you happen to receive a parking ticket, go to www.pmbonline.org to resolve it. You have 21 days from the date the ticket was issued to dispute or pay the original fine amount.
