Drew Sutherland, a Sacramento native, is new to the faculty at CSU Stanislaus. He teaches Movement, Stage Combat, Voice, and Acting. His research interests include violence as a mode of communication, and the desensitization of children to violence in mass media. Drew has acted on stage and in film, television, radio, and CD ROM in California, Oregon, Illinois, Texas, and has toured the eastern 2/3 of the United States performing theatre for youth. Drew has taught at the University of Southern Mississippi, the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, and the University of Nebraska Omaha. Drew holds an MFA from Southern Methodist University and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists.
