Our Mission

The Office of Student Leadership and Development (OSLD) is committed to enhancing the learning environment at CSU Stanislaus. To facilitate this mission we provide students with co-curricular learning and leadership development opportunities.

Current Student Organizations:
There are over 60 clubs and organizations that are active on campus. The various clubs and organizations range from political, pre-professional, social, fraternities & sororities, cultural, religious, and a great deal more! Some of the membership benefits of being involved with a student-run organization are civic engagement, friendships, mentoring, networking, academic & character development, self-governance and other aspects that support student success.

Greek Life:

Currently we have 16 fraternities and sororities on campus. With 10 sororities and 6 fraternities to choose from there is something for everyone.

Starting a new Student Organization:
In order to be recognized as a student organization on campus, the prospective organizations President and Treasurer must complete the Officer Orientation on the forms & documents page. Once the Orientation and corresponding quiz are completed by both the President and Treasurer, a Charter Application will be available to the student organization/club President. They will have 30 days to turn in a completed Charter Application to OSLD. It is required that the organization obtain the services of at least one faculty member or administrative staff person who will be willing to work with them as an advisor and have a minimum of 5 active members.

The Office of Student Leadership and Development is committed to enhancing the learning environment at CSU Stanislaus. To facilitate this mission we provide students with co-curricular learning and leadership development opportunities from our programs and events.

Student Leadership & Development Staff:
The Office of Student Leadership and Development houses five full-time staff members: the Director, the Student Organization Advisor & Activities Coordinator, the Leadership Coordinator & Greek Advisor, Office Coordinator and Administrative Support Assistant.

Fraternity and Sorority Chapter Standards Program Handbook
The Fraternity and Sorority Life Chapter Standards Program is based upon the Shared Principles for Greek Life Organizations and the California State Universities. The fraternities and sororities at CSU Stanislaus reflect the dynamic and diverse campus community. Currently, there are fifteen international/national and local social fraternal organizations.
