Along with opportunities to stay physically active, develop healthy lifestyle habits and grow social circles with a variety of people, the Student Recreation Complex (SRC) aligns with the mission of the university to help complete the development of students by offering a variety of opportunities in leadership through employment and participation. The SRC staff hopes you will take advantage of all of the opportunities offered to help you develop into the best you can be.
Our focus is to assist in the development of the individual physically, mentally and emotionally through active participation. The SRC is the focal point for recreational opportunities at California State University, Stanislaus. Our staff believes that physical activity plays a vital role in the development and maintenance of a "healthy, well-adjusted" individual. The activities available are a means to educate participants, provide opportunities for group and individual competition, provide opportunities for social and personal interaction between students, provide guidance in the area of health-related fitness, and to provide student leadership opportunities.
Located on the east side of campus, the SRC has a Fitness Center with cardiovascular and weight training room for your personal fitness workouts, a group exercise room for exercise classes and personal fitness training, and a multi-sport gymnasium for recreation play. You can check out a locker key, basketballs, volleyballs, jump ropes, sweat towels and more. Towels for showering should be brought from home. Outside the Fitness Center you will find climbing boulders and the Al Brenda Track. Keys to the track are available at the Welcome Desk when the track is not in use by a group reservation.
The SRC maintains and schedules use of the SRC’s Recreation and Intramural fields, Practice Soccer Complex and The SRC Warrior Stadium, home to the Men’s and Women’s soccer and track teams.
