Biography

Transferred from Merced College with an A.A. in Social Science. Came to CSU Stanislaus with intentions of entering the teaching program, but obtained a B.A. in Social Science, which broadened my perspective of different career options available with that degree. I'm a first-generation college student.

Why did you choose CSU Stanislaus?

CSU Stanislaus appealed to me first because it had my major, but once I got there, I fell in LOVE with the campus! Faculty and staff are so interested in making sure your questions are answered and also that we have the time to get to know others.

What advice would you give a prospective student?

If you are planning on attending CSU Stanislaus, be ready to experience all four seasons --summer, winter, fall and spring. You should also enjoy the different aspects of the University: student services, Greek life and academic life.

What has been your favorite academic or student life experience so far?

Working closely with other classmates and getting to know and grow with new friends.

What is your career objective?

Counselor with the CSU system

Who is your most influential personal and/or University mentor?

My most influential people are my mother and father. Both did not have the opportunity to get an education, so they gave me the opportunity to choose a career and school. Both have also inspired me to continue with my education as far as I would like to take it.
