March 17, 2020
Dear Stan State Employees,
As we transition to virtual modes of instruction, we continue to evaluate ways to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed on campus. Social distancing should be practiced by employees at all times. This requires at least six feet (6’) of distance between persons. To accomplish this, there will be changes in the way we conduct business.
Effective today, Tuesday, March 17, all employees are asked to observe the following:
Business meetings on campus held in private offices and conference rooms are limited to a maximum of ten (10) people and may be held only when social distancing can be maintained. Alternatively, meetings that cannot be held in person should be held remotely using telephone or Zoom.
Employees should limit travel between buildings. Movement from building to building should be limited only to perform critical job functions.
Employees who are required to perform work that does not allow for the observance of six feet (6’) between persons should consult with their supervisor on how to maximize social distancing. Please contact Kellie Marshall (kmarshall@csustan.edu) in Safety & Risk Management for advice and guidance on this topic.
Step-by-step instructions on how to schedule Zoom meetings are available online or you can email the OIT Help Desk at TechSupport@csustan.edu.
Additionally, we recommend all employees avoid shaking hands and engaging in other interpersonal contact per federal guidelines explaining how to limit the spread of COVID-19.
We understand that these measures may cause some disruption to your department operations. However, our focus is on employee safety and public health. Please contact Safety & Risk Management to discuss how we can support you in mitigating any consequences of these safety measures.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone at Stan State healthy and safe.
Sincerely,
Kellie Marshall
