CSU Stanislaus completed its initial Graduation Initiative Planning Document in 2003. The plan,
reviewed by Academic Senate, identified graduation and retention goals and provided
11 recommendations in the areas of pedagogy, advising and scheduling, and institutional operations.
In fall 2009, the Chancellor's Office launched the CSU Graduation Initiative .
The goals of the system-wide initiative are to:
- Raise the six-year graduation rates to the top quartile of national peers by 2016.
- Reduce by half the college-going and six-year gaps for low-income and under-represented minority students by 2016.
CSU Stanislaus provided a 2009 Update to the Chancellor's Office noting progress on 2003 objectives.
