Christene James has a Bachleor's Degree in Business Administration from Central Washington University and an Masters in Business Administration from the University of Washington. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Education with Oregon State University as part of their Adult and Higher Education hybrid online program. Christene is a highly resourceful senior leader with experience directing growth and leading operational excellence. She has over twenty-five years of experience in higher education. In her work over that time, she has had the opportunity to work in various roles and with students, staff, faculty, alumni and community stakeholders.
In her roles with the University of Washington she has been involved with various projects and initiatives. In particular, she has been involved with several strategic planning processes, IT initiatives, student programs, building planning, and implementation of activity based budgeting. Her experience in higher education encompasses finance, IT, human resources, strategic planning, facilities, process improvement, strategic partnerships, development, and program development.

Abdul Nasser was born in Asia, grew up in an African country that was ruled by a European nation, and spent most of his life in the USA. In 2005, he took an assignment in the Middle East where he spent 12 years. His professional career spans three continents. Dr. Nasser communicates in several languages, worked, and interacted with globally diverse cultures.
Dr. Nasser earned his Bachelors in Accounting, and his MBA from the University of Illinois at Springfield. During his senior year, Dr. Nasser sat for the CPA exam, and passed all four parts of the exam in his first attempt. Dr. Nasser earned his Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in 2019.
Dr. Nasser has over 20 years of experience in higher education administration. Dr. Nasser worked at community colleges, 4-year schools, and research universities in different capacities, ranging from director of budgets, controller, to vice president of business. Dr. Nasser has extensive supervisory experience in accounting, budgets, human resources, informational technology, campus police, and other administrative areas. He established the first fiscal operations office in a student affairs division of a large university. In addition, Dr. Nasser worked at a research university in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and was the first Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a private enterprise that managed k-12 schools (over 10,000 students) in the Middle East.
Dr. Nasser served on a community hospital board, volunteered as treasurer for non-profit entities, and prepares tax returns pro bono for low income families. Abdul enjoys world travel, hiking, and scuba diving. He lives in San Francisco with his wife Arlene Nasser. They have three children.
