The Program for Academic & Career Excellence serves students who meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Admitted or enrolled as an undergraduate student at CSU, Stanislaus
  • Hispanic or underserved
  • First-generation (a student is considered first-generation if neither of the parents/guardians earned a

      baccalaureate degree or higher).

Application Process

  • Complete and submit the PACE Application (downloadable PDF available below)
  • Receive a decision notification via your CSU Stan email account.  Applications will be processed in April.

Declare intent to enroll

Visit myCSUSTAN at my.csustan.edu to accept your admission.

May 1st

Pay enrollment deposit

Students are required to submit a $200 deposit upon accepting admission to secure a spot in the incoming class. This nonrefundable deposit will be applied toward tuition fees at the time of registration. www.csustan.edu/admissions/EnrollmentDepositFAQ

May 1st

Take the English (EPT) & Mathematics (ELM) Placement Tests

If you are not otherwise exempt, you must test for English and Mathematics placement immediately, but no later than May. If you are required to test but do not, you will not be able to enroll. www.csustan.edu/Testing

End of May

Register to attend New Student Orientation (NSO)

New students are required to attend an orientation. Registration opens February 1st. To register visit www.csustan.edu/studentlife/nso

May 30th

Early Start - Confirm campus

Students who have not fulfilled the Entry Level Math and/or English Placement Test proficiency requirements are re­quired to begin remediation during the summer before coming to the CSU through the Early Start program. June 1st

Submit final official transcripts

Final official transcripts from your high school must be postmarked by July 15. Check your student portal at my.csustan.edu for required transcripts.
