Canvas created the Inbox tool as an easy way for users to communicate with others in their courses. These conversations can take place without any instructor intervention. Like any tool, the Inbox can be used in ways that go against norms of academic integrity. However, it is not possible to disable the Inbox for a specific course. Instead, instructors should make it a point to remind students of their expectations regarding acceptable uses of the Inbox in a course.
