Faculty Spotlight - Mark Thompson
Dr. Mark Thompson is in his 27th year at Stanislaus State and is a Professor of Rhetoric who specializes in rhetorical theory—that is, in a broad sense, how people argue and persuade, create meaning and create truth. His doctorate was interdisciplinary, combining rhetorical theory, cognitive psychology, statistics, and research design. His teaching and research interests are rhetoric, critical thinking, academic technology, gamification, information literacy, and teaching teachers. In the video, Dr. Mark Thompson showcases how he uses our TEALC to teach “Rhetoric in an Active Learning Classroom.”
