The University is celebrating Warriors past and present with a week of alumni activities September 18-24.
Warrior Wisdom sessions, created and hosted by alumni, will happen Monday through Friday, offering mentoring, networking and a panel discussion on career entry.
Warriors Explore Downtown on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 5-8 p.m. The event, hosted by the city of Turlock and Stanislaus State Associated Students Incorporated, is centered at Central Park on Main Street, where Warriors will find arts and crafts, game booths and a DJ. Wear red and check out downtown Turlock’s growing restaurant scene.
The Fall Garden Party All-Class Reunion kicks off Warrior Weekend festivities on Friday, Sept. 22, 5:30-7 p.m. Themed “Lawn Games & Libations,” grads are invited to toss bean bags, tap croquet balls, roll bocce balls and more. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages, including wine and beer. The graduating class with the most registered attendees will receive a prize from the Alumni Association (and bragging rights for the year).
Former Alumni of the Year are invited to a champagne toast with President Ellen Junn on Friday just before the all-class reunion.
Golden Grads of the Classes of 1960-1967 will meet for brunch on Saturday.
Former ASI and USU board members, staff and volunteers are invited to a happy hour reception to say farewell to the old student union building, scheduled for demolition in January.
StanFest Carnival, hosted by ASI and USU, will be Sunday, Sept. 24, on the Quad. Carnival-style games, bounce houses and more will be family friendly and free. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
