Q: How do I recruit through CHRS Recruiting?

A: Campus specific procedures and guidelines for both Staff, MPP, Casual Workers, and Emergency recruitments can be located under the Recruitment  & Hiring Guidelines section. For system specific guidelines and available training, please review the Training tab located under the CHRS Recruiting tab.

Q: How do I update my personal contact information (e.g. phone number, address)?

A: Either through the self service process or by completing an Employee Action Request form and submitting to the Human Resources department.

Q: How do I apply for a job opening at the University?

A: All campus position announcements, applications & application procedures are available on the Career Opportunities page.  

Q: How long is my temporary pool application considered active?

A: Temporary Pool applications are considered active for 6 months or until you fill an emergency hire appointment. It is the applicant's responsibility to keep their application current and resubmit a new application after such time has elapsed or after you have completed an assignment.

Q: Do I have to fill out a separate application for each job I wish to apply for?

A: Yes. It is the applicant's responsibility to apply for each job they are interested in. 

Q: How do I apply for a faculty position?

A: Current faculty job openings and the process on how to apply are listed on the Faculty Affairs Employment page.  Select the faculty opportunities button and click on the position you'd like to apply for and apply online. 

Q: How do I hire an Emergency Temporary Employment Position (short-term)?

A: The Emergency Temporary Support Guidelines contain the procedures necessary for this process. It is recommended that you contact Michaela Dole with questions regarding this process and to notify that you are in the process of submitting a request.

Q: How do I complete the Staff/Management Employment Transaction Request Form?

A: Instructions for completing the Staff/Management Employment Transaction Request Form can be located under the Transaction Request tab. The instructions contain the procedures for this process along with recommends that you contact HR with questions regarding this process and to notify Gabby Bughi that you are in the process of submitting a request.
