Community Access

Residents receive their room key and mailbox key on Move-In Day.

Room keys allow access to:

  • Resident's assigned bedroom
  • Resident's assigned unit
  • All Village gates
  • All Village laundry rooms

Resident mailboxes are located on the outside back wall of the Housing Office. Each mailbox is assigned by unit, not by individual resident. All P.O. box mail will be delivered to the mailboxes and packages will be securely stored at the Front Desk. Mailbox keys must be returned at the end of the contract year; any loss or theft must be reported immediately to the Housing Office and the resident will be charged $45 for the cost associated with key replacement.

Residents are responsible for the behavior of their guests and guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times.

  • A guest is defined as any person who intends to visit or sleep in a residence hall room, suite, or apartment and is not a resident of that room, suite, or apartment.
  • An overnight guest is considered anyone whose visit occurs after quiet hours.

Overnight guests are to be temporary and infrequent. The length of stay for an overnight guest cannot exceed three (3) nights in a month and more than nine (9) nights total over the course of one full semester.

Locked out of your bedroom or unit? Call the Housing Office at (209) 667-3675 for assistance. Staff is available 24/7 to let you back into your space.

Residents are given a temporary key card on Move-In Day. After receiving their Warrior ID card, residents must bring that card and their temporary key to the Housing Office to have their Warrior ID converted into a room key.

Warrior ID cards are also the key to accessing resident meal plans. For full instructions on how to obtain a Warrior ID, visit the Warrior Card page on the OIT website.
