As many in our state are experiencing tragedy of epic proportions, you can help fill an immediate need by supporting this fund for student emergencies. At the end of this campaign, which will be active until the end of the year, our campus will provide a check to our colleagues in Chico, providing 50 percent of these funds to be used for the dire emergencies created in their region by the Camp Fire.
During November, we also recognize National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week (November 13th - 16th) and, clearly, there is no better time than now to make a real impact on the life of a student by giving to the Student Emergency Fund.
This is in the spirit of collaboration that began with the founding donation from the California Faculty Association Stanislaus Chapter. The Student Emergency Fund on our campus lives under the Campus Cares banner.
This project to raise support for the Campus Cares Student Emergency Fund will help meet the mounting demands we’ve seen on our own campus and will compassionately share with those in the region so gravely impacted by the Camp Fire.
The Campus Cares initiative was founded on the principle of helping those who need it most -- providing critical assistance so that our students can stay in school. Funds donated have immediate impact for students in crisis.
Will you help today? Remember to give and then share on social media to maximize the impact of your gift!
