Speaker, Imerald Brown

Imerald Brown is a fearless and edgy Hip Hop artist and writer from Berkeley, California. Imerald Brown’s music and writings carry messages of empowerment and resilience. Imerald Brown has released various projects over time including Mental Mayhem, Collision Imprint, and most recently Imerald Brown released Brainstorm along with visuals for tracks such as “Black & Brilliant” asking listeners to define freedom. Imerald Brown continuously shares creative talents through various means and published Chronicles of the Weeping Addicts, A Manual for Creative Souls where Imerald Brown not only writes about personal struggles with addiction but stories of other individuals Imerald Brown has encountered along the way. Written in a gritty, humorous, yet encouraging tone, Chronicles of the Weeping Addicts, A Manual for Creative Souls is comprised of short stories, poetry, and reflection activities with the mission of supporting others through creative healing.

Open to the campus and surrounding Central Valley community.
