Please join us for a presentation and discussion with Dr. Needhi Bhalla, author of Strategies to Improve Equity in Faculty Hiring. Dr. Bhalla will present a brief overview of general strategies that academic programs can take to increase equity in faculty hiring and address the lack of racial and gender diversity among their faculty. She will provide a particular focus on the effective use of diversity statements in the hiring process, including the use of rubrics for assessing candidate contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
