Covering 4000 years of history, Prof. Bet-Alkhas explores the evolution of Assyrian from its classical Aramaic roots to modern neo-Aramaic and Assyrian as it is spoken and written today. No prior experience with the language is required. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.  Prof. Wilfred Bet-Alkhas is a lecturer of Assyrian language at San Jose State University’s Department of World Languages and Literatures.
