Colombian artisan carving wood.Dr. Richard Wallace, Department of Anthropology, will discuss his research in a lecture titled, "The Transformation of Cultural and Ecological Knowledge and Modes of Transmission Among Indigenous Wood Carvers in the Colombian Amazon." His presentation aligns with the current MSR Exhibition Space display which presents an introduction to the artisans living in the the community of Macedonia along the Amazon River and their wood carvings. The exhibit was made possible through collaboration with the Art Department and the MSR Exhibition Space Committee, and support from the Office of the Provost. The lecture will include refreshments.
