Dr. Jorge Estrada is a lecturer in the Ethnic Studies program at Stanislaus State University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of New Mexico, where he also attended as an undergraduate. His areas of study are Latin American and Latinx literature, film, cultural studies, gender and sexuality, and jotería studies. Dr. Estrada has taught at various campuses in the CSU system, the State University of New York (SUNY), and more recently, Portland State and Oregon State University. Currently, he is working on a book-length manuscript on sexuality and monstrosity in Mexican and Chicanx literature.
