CVMSA is for current CSU Stanislaus science, technology, and mathematics students. Faculty mentorship, faculty-supported undergraduate research and The Commons are the heart of this program.

To be eligible to participate in CVMSA, students must:

  • Be a declared major in either Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Math, or Physics
  • Be First Generation (i.e. neither parent has earned a baccalaureate degree) or low income college student
  • Not be graduating within one year of applying
  • Complete a CVMSA application

CVMSA Student Expectations:

  • Establish a personal and professional relationship with an assigned faculty
  • Participate in at least 3 Mentor-Mentee seminars, workshops, or social gatherings per semester
  • Attend tutoring sessions as recommended by your advisor
  • Attend classes regularly
