Face Coverings, Sanitation and Disinfection

Friday, June 19, 2020

Dear Stan State Employees:

In accordance with the California Department of Public Health guidance, it is required, when feasible, that employees wear a face covering while working on-campus. Employees should wear face coverings when working in an indoor public space or when physical distancing of six feet or more cannot be achieved between others. Members of the campus community may bring face coverings or use face coverings provided by Stanislaus State. Face coverings are available on a limited basis and can be requested online through the Campus COVID Supply.

According to the CDC, a cloth face covering may not protect the wearer, but it may keep the wearer from spreading the virus to others. All are encouraged to learn about and share information regarding the use of cloth face coverings to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Information is available on the CDC website. For questions or concerns regarding the administration or use of face coverings in their on-campus work area, employees should work with their supervisor or manager.

Also, Stanislaus State has increased both frequency and intensity of sanitizing and disinfecting across campus, focused especially on currently populated areas. Further, campus community members will be provided with appropriate resources and educational materials to allow them to disinfect workspaces before and after use.
