  • Design, development and use of single molecule setups to study the dynamics of biomolecular systems and the photophysical properties of quantum dots. 

  • Development of a novel 2-aminopurine single-molecule fluorescence approach to study base flipping.

  • Design, development and use of a femtosecond transient absorption pump-probe system to study the electron and energy transfer in supramolecular systems. 

  • Photophysical characterization of macromolecules using steady-state fluorescence, Time-Correlated Single-Photon Counting (TCSPC), time-resolved fluorescence anisotropy and nanosecond transient absorption experiments to study electron and energy transfer.

  • Collaborations with groups in the Departments of Chemistry at The University of Akron, Wayne State University and several other groups at different universities.
